The first details of the £2.6bn Fund were published in February and councils should be taking action now. The primary focus of the Fund is ‘pride in place’. The three key investment priorities are:
Community and place – strengthening our social fabric
Supporting local businesses – creating jobs and boosting community cohesion
People and Skills - boosting core skills and opportunity
Unlike the Levelling Up Fund, this will not be a competitive process. But councils will be required to develop an ‘investment plan’ to access the funding.
In this free webinar Andrew Laird, Managing Director of Mutual Ventures is joined by Helen Barnard, Research and Policy Director at Pro Bono Economics and Associate Director at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and Mike Crowhurst from Public First, a policy, research, opinion, and strategy consultancy with a particular focus on Levelling Up.
