Watch the fifth in our webinar series "Getting the Best out of the Children's Placements Market".

This webinar shares how the RCC pathfinders have enabled improved collaboration in their region. This webinar features Allan Madeley, Greater Manchester Regional Care Cooperative Pathfinder Programme Lead, and Wendy Williams, Senior Commissioning Lead for the South East Regional Care Cooperative.

Allan and Wendy provide an overview of the following:

  • What projects are being delivered collaboratively through the RCC pathfinders

  • How the RCC pathfinders have brought together local authorities from across their regions to work together in new ways

  • How the RCC pathfinders are working with partners in health and youth justice

  • How the RCC pathfinders are enabling a culture of collaboration in their region

Allan also shared insights from two reports commissioned by the Greater Manchester Regional Care Cooperative looking at how barriers can be broken down to improve outcomes for children who are living in complex situations with multiple needs and how the provision of supported accommodation can best help young people in care succeed. Links to access these reports are at the bottom of the page.

Martin Quinn, consultant, trainer, and former commissioning manager, also shares insights from Mutual Venture's recent report on commissioning, forecasting and market shaping in relation to the children's care placements market. Martin shares insights from our research on how local authorities can improve regional working and partnership working.
