Mutual Ventures has been appointed delivery partner for the Department for Education’s Fostering Recruitment and Retention Programme. We describe our support offer for local authority clusters as part of the programme.
Mutual Ventures will provide coaching support to help local authority clusters to design and implement their Fostering Recruitment Hub – with the aim of increasing the availability of foster carers in each area and improving the lives of vulnerable children.
Each cluster will have a dedicated coach from the MV team, from now until the end of the programme.
The coach will provide support to develop and implement plans for a hub and build a strong relationship with you.
We understand that clusters will be at different stages of development. Coaches will work closely to understand clusters' needs and provide inputs tailored to them.
We also recognise that, through experience to date, local authorities may have developed approaches that could prove valuable to other clusters. We will work with clusters to capture this learning and share it across the programme.
Bid support – now until September 2023:
A programme wide webinar to support the bid process and guidance document with ‘top tips’ for bidding.
An introductory meeting with each cluster to understand your needs and what support is required.
A bid workshop to inform the bid and support a compelling narrative.
Challenge around technical aspects of the bid and a final review of the bid against DfE’s agreed criteria.
Ongoing support – September 2023 - March 2025:
Fortnightly coaching call, to provide critical friend challenge and change management support.
Tailored support based on your individual support needs including support from a flexible pool of expertise with experience in areas such as data, digital skills and foster care recruitment and practice.
A range of workshops, from options including vision, governance, finances, communications, and operations.
Templates and tools to help support implementation.
