A Family Hub is a model for providing high-quality, integrated, local support services. It is a way of joining services together to increase accessibility, improve connections between families and professionals, and put relationships at the centre.

The implementation of Family Hubs is this government’s flagship policy for supporting vulnerable families. All local authorities will be expected to consider Family Hubs as part of provision in their area, and there will be the opportunity to bid for money to support implementation.

This webinar offers a practical view of implementing Family Hubs and an insight into different stages of the process. Drawing on the first-hand experience, it will explore what an effective Family Hub model looks like, how to approach the process of establishing services, and what pitfalls to avoid.

The webinar is chaired by Mutual Ventures' David Fairhurst, and speakers are:

  • Steve Bywater, Supporting Families Strategic Manager, Westminster City Council

  • Catherine Drake-Wilkes, Family Hub Manager, Westminister

  • Harry Angus, Family Hubs Programme Manager, Bristol City Council

  • Jane Moffat, Early Help Manager, Coventry City Council

Whatever stage of developing Family Hubs you are at, this webinar will help you reflect on progress and think through how to approach your next steps.
